The Seventh Seal of the Animation Crapocalypse has opened - Powerpuff Teen Titans Crossover by

These are dark times there is no denying. The animation industry has perhaps faced no greater threat than it does today. But I say this to our citizenry: We....
well... We got nothin.

An image has been floating around the internet that is making some people ask "why" and others to find out what barrel-oil tastes like. It is the seventh seal of the animation crapocalypse, and it's coming to Cartoon Network at the end of July.

And it's not the only "oh shit" news coming out of the industry this week.
Remember when Hasbro was in talks to buy Dreamworks animation (before Disney torpedoed that faster than you can say "please mouse daddy spank me harder")? Well it appears that Dreamworks has a far more cruel fate.

The studio that brought us such timeless animated stories as The Prince of Egypt, and How To Train Your Dragon (and also a number of DVDs to pollute the bargain bin down at your local K-Mart "Going out of business sale") will be owned by the company with the Worst Customer Service In The Country - officially - Comcast.

Comcast bought Dreamworks for $3.8 Billion, which means they're going to want to make that investment money back fast, so it's safe to say Shrek 5-8 will be coming to a theater near you.

Oh and then there was the Daytime Emmy awards...

You'll recall that Hasbro studios had been nominated for a few awards this year, again, and they were happy to tell us in a Press Release that - They Won!

But, not how you would want.

The email reads as follows:

Hi there,

Please let us know if you’re able to cover this exciting news!

Best,
[REDACTED]

That's right folks.
MLP lost to a song from a Soap Opera, and the Daytime Emmy that Hasbro got to take home was for a human character in their...Rescue Bots cartoon. Daniel Ingram's work has been nominated for the Emmy 4 times now, and has gotten shafted each time. This time he lost to this:

Daniel has quickly taken Leonardo DiCaprio's vacancy at the "will he ever win it?" table.

Now back to that image at the top.

Teen Titans Go, the previous lord of the kingdom of disgraceful reboots, will be doing a crossover episode with it's own successor, The Powerpuff Girls reboot. You may recall that Tara Strong - the Voice for Twilight Sparkle, Raven from Teen Titans, and the original Bubbles - was upset by not being asked to reprise her role in the reboot for PPG, as she was in TTG. Well that will probably make this crossover all the more painful to watch when they mix the two together.

Will it...CAN it be worse than the Steven Universe / Uncle Grandpa crossover?

Of course it can!

At least 1 of those shows had redeeming qualities BEFORE the merger!
This one?
Well now we're going to see what nuclear waste does when it seeps into a septic tank.

Here have some >no hooves with some hooves to make you forget everything.

  3. Teen Titans Go is better than the old Teen Titans.
The new Powerpuff Girls is shit, though.

  4. There's already that 4-D Shrek ride at the Universal Studios theme parks, and that's the most boring of all the rides there.

Now it's going to be there forever......

  6. Just FYI, The Magic Inside lost to True Bromance, from Netflix's All Hail King Julien. The soap opera song wasn't in the same category as those other two.

  7. TTG isn't all that bad... it's just nothing whatsoever like the original show. If the original show had been allowed ONE MORE SEASON for a proper ending, TTG wouldn't seem so bogus

The PPG stuff on the other hoof.......
