Usually we have at least a few weeks between crazy people publicly badgering the show staff to ridiculous lengths. Just this week we had the case of DinoNoms barraging Amy Keating Rogers with accusations of "Transmisogny" and "Bigotry" (both accusations are completely baseless). Already, we have another contender for the "why are you even on twitter" award, "Silvi Cultrix". Silvi here believes that she is a writer and collaborator for My Little Pony, and that she is not receiving the credit that she so deserves. She is even claiming plagiarism of her efforts.
On what basis?
Silvi believes that she worked with Lauren Faust to create the character of TreeHugger in the Season 5 episode "Make new friends but keep Discord". She believes this despite the tiny detail that Lauren Faust hasn't worked on My Little Pony since Season 2.
Let's spend a day at the circus shall we?
It all began a few days ago when SilviCultrix tweeted this gem "Writing this episode made me so happy!".
Now at first glance you would think, maybe she meant to type "watching" or "seeing", but no. It becomes very quickly apparent she is dead serious that she means "writing".
It takes a few days, but eventually the tweet is brought to the attention of M.A. Larson, who - based as ever - promptly tells her where to shove it.
That's the end of it right?
Oh come on, if it were, you wouldn't even be reading about it on Horse News.
Nope. Apparently Silvi has been propagating these lies all year, claiming all the way back in FEBRUARY that she was working - With Faust - on Season 5 of My Little Pony.
Here is where she claims to have invented Tree Hugger.
She even broadcasted this to her facebook followers, on top of her 9000 twitter fans.
Why would she even think that she had a part in writing this episode?
Well...we're still trying to figure that out. From what we can gather it was because Lauren had asked for some help with research about what modern hippies look like.
This was on July 7th of 2014 which SilviCultrix had evidently replied to with her other account, that bears her real name "Angela McEwen".
None of this changes the fact that these tweets are completely unrelated to My Little Pony, as Lauren Faust hasn't worked on the show in nearly 4 years, and certainly had no role in the design of Tree Hugger, or the episode in question.
Angela won't let pesky things like "facts" deter her from getting the recognition she so rightfully deserves, and spent most of yesterday claiming plagiarism and worse to her 9300+ followers.
Oh of course.
It's all starting to make sense.
Yes. Shes hinting at causing self-harm over this.
It goes on like this for a long time. And no matter how many times she's informed that the scenario she's proposing is impossible, she continues to tell people that the MLP staff are liars and that her "work" was stolen. Both of these are serious accusations for a creative team working on a television program.
Be sure to check back as we're sure theres more gems to come.
