  1. Oh boy, I can't wait to go to a beach party... in January? Really? What a weird time for a pony convention, much less one next to a beach and directly competing with Babscon.

    1. Babscon isn't really a direct competitor. The Bay Area is a long distance away from San Diego. It's EQLA they're competing too close with.

  2. Something tells me this con is gonna flop hard. For one, EQLA returning already fills up the So-Cal brony con hole that existed. After bringing the con up to them, none of my friends in the LA or OC said they'd be interested in going since we're already going to EQLA anyway. It'll be hard to support a con just off San Diego bronies alone. Also, as the other anon pointed out, putting a con on a waterside resort in January doesn't hold a lot of appeal, but that's probably because they could only afford to hold it at this hotel during that time of the year. Which brings up another point: why not hold this at a convention center or airport hotel, like BABSCon or EQLA? Its the best way to go in terms of having a nice yet affordable venue for everyone during a good time of the year. I've never seen a brony convention hosted at a private resort - for obvious reasons. Then let's throw in the fact that the convention site looks like it was designed by a high schooler (that's being generous) and yeah...not feeling confident about this one.

Also, didn't you guys write about this and say it was going to be a flop months ago? http://www.horse-news.net/2014/08/burning-filly-and-cookout-or-how-i.html

  4. The amount of useless conventions in this fandom is way too damn high!! But I guess anyway to con money out of bronies, right?

  5. I wish there were more places like this, because it was simply too amazing for words. I came here with my boyfriend the other night, and it was absolutely fabulous. The use of wood throughout venues for events adds a very warm and inviting feel to venue.
