Throughout this fandom's relatively short history, the community has found triumph and pride in identifying their more-famous, more-important counterparts. Celebrities like Andrew WK and Gabe Newell it seems, were merely the tip of the iceburg. Today it was confirmed that bronies had finally done it - they infiltrated one of the largest, most powerful companies on the planet; Coca-Cola.
These images began popping up over the last few hours, but many could not verify their legitimacy as they do not show up on American or Canadian Facebook feeds. As the small notation in the corner indicates, CocaCola is only sharing this image with their Asian audience, an image that appears to be the "Nightmare Moon" from the very first episode of Friendship is Magic.
And by "appear" we mean, it's the same damn moon, just turned red. This corresponds with the blood-moon lunar eclipse, as well as the fact it is the "Year of the Horse" in the Chinese Zodiac.Coca-Cola has a strong partnership with another major corporate entity, which itself recently showed it's disposition towards bronies; McDonalds.
2 of the largest, most powerful companies in the world, making subtle nods to a community they realistically should have little to no knowledge of or involvement in. How deep does the rabbit hole go? Many will remember what Google did for their "geek week" programming last year.
So there are ponyfags in the ranks of Google, but where else has the pony-plague spread?Well, like anyone who has ever played Pandemic knows, once a virus hits the airlines, there is really no stopping it. In comes JetBlue Airways, who not only will tweet about ponies any time you mention it, they have their own corporate OC, and even models of said horse.
The list gets longer from there. Weird Al...video game companies...actors...wrestlers...the military...Justin Bieber... where does it end? They own the food you eat.
They own the water you drink. (And also the high-fructose corn syrup they put IN that water).
They own the internet.
They own the skies.
They have silently taken over. Beware, judgement is at hand.
UPDATE: THE BANKS ARE IN ON IT TOO
