Tara Strong Hints at Possible Celebrity Guest on Twitter by FS:SotU
On December 28, Strong tweeted a “happy birthday” message to Stan Lee, famous for his work in the comic book industry and a personal friend of Strong’s. While the message was innocent enough in nature, the tweet was worded in a way that may have been a direct reference to a popular Biggie Smalls song.
Strong’s message read “Happy birthday big Papa…,” leading some viewers of the tweet to believe that Strong was indeed alluding to Smalls’ hit song entitled “Big Poppa.”
While Lee has returned this reporter’s frequent calls for interviews with only a restraining order, he did not show any signs of discontent towards Strong’s birthday greetings, thus leading audiences nationwide to believe he loves it when you call him Big Papa.
Strong is known for her often racy and borderline-explicit Twitter posts, posts that oftentimes coincide with the very similar nature of Biggie Smalls’ lyrics. It is our belief that Strong has been dropping hints at the rapper’s guest appearance for some time now, but it seems that the hints are becoming much more direct as the episode in question draws nearer.
A number of bronies strongly support the idea of seeing such a popular figure in rap music voicing a character in an upcoming episode.
“I think it is a great way to appeal to today’s youth culture and their fascination with the rap music industry,” said Jakob Steinberg, a fan of the show from New York. “A guest like Biggie Smalls should show that My Little Pony is still hip and in touch with today’s younger generations.”
Some fans, however, were not as warm to the idea.
“Biggie Smalls is not the most prominent figure in today’s music by any stretch. He’s a joke of a rapper and a complete pussy,” said one anonymous user from California, posting under the name “xXx420_tUpAc_Liv3ZxXx.”
Biggie Smalls could not be reached for comment on this development.
